Boomcast, in partnership with mPower Social Enterprises Ltd. delivered personalized, timely, and localized agri-climate advisories to 10,000 smallholder farmers across rural Bangladesh. The campaign utilized Boomcast’s voice and SMS capabilities to provide AI-generated, crop-specific guidance on planting, irrigation, fertilization, harvesting, and pest and disease alerts, based on real-time field data and weather conditions.
Messages were delivered at critical decision-making points in the crop lifecycle and in regional dialects to ensure clarity and relevance, particularly for low-literacy farmers. Farmers received regular voice calls with actionable advice tailored to their location and crops, supported by supplementary SMS reminders. Boomcast’s analytics platform tracked delivery and engagement, allowing for timing adjustments to maximize impact.
This project showcased how low-tech, high-impact communication tools like Boomcast can bridge the gap between agricultural expertise and rural communities, supporting climate resilience, informed decision-making, and sustainable rural development.
